Following relocation to Chicago in 2007, I rented my home in Hillcrest for 3 years, with thoughts that I might return, When the renters decided to leave in September 2010, I was worried of how the market had trended, as Chicago and much of the market had seen 10-15% declines.
Being in Chicago, it was ever more important I found a real estate professional that could truthfully guide me through the sales process from a distance. I naturally turned to the Janet Jones Company due to your reputation in the area, and happened to meet Shannon at an open house while traveling back to Little Rock in September. It was quickly evident that Shannon poseessed the knowledge, expertise, and drive to successfully list and sell my house in Hillcrest.
Shannon worked to provide me with a thorough Comparative Market Analysis, and we discussed a myriad of options in listing strategies. Considering I would be making two house payments for each month the house was vacant, I chose to follow her advice and "let the house sell itself", while also ensuring agent compensation was competitive, to ensure my home was shown to all prospective purchasers. We toured several other homes in the area, and priced the home slightly below those homes. And she gave me "homework" to make my home more appealing (and cheaper) than the competition. While not costly, I spent a few days, cleaning, fixing and painting - making the house "move in ready".
Shannon took amazing pictures (photography must be her second calling) and created an excellent website and virtual tour. The house was officially listed on Saturday, and she hosted an open house on Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from Shannon after the open house with a FULL PRICE OFFER! She handled everything post-offer to closing as I was in Chicago, and the transaction went smoothly and closed in three weeks time. What a relief this was for me, words can't describe!

It's hard to know where to begin when discussing working with Shannon Treece. My situation was different from most.
